Embrassing the diversity of comtempory Arts
CDD FRIENDS OF THE ARTS
While traditional visual arts encompassed painting, sculpture, drawing, and printmaking, postmodernism has expanded the artistic landscape, engendering contemporary art forms. These include collage, digital art, photography, video, installation, and performance art. What distinguishes contemporary art is the fluidity and interplay between these various forms. The convergence and fusion of artistic practices reflect the dynamic nature of modern art, where artists are free to experiment and push the boundaries of their creativity.

The Evolution of Modern Masterpieces
From the 1860s to the 1970s, modern art represented a significant departure from traditional artistic norms. Artists of this era sought to challenge established conventions and explore new creative forms and concepts. Notable movements within modern art include Realism, Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Dadaism, Abstract Expressionism, and Pop Art. These movements revolutionized the art world, pushing the boundaries of creativity and redefining the possibilities of visual representation. Iconic works like Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, and Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans have become synonymous with the groundbreaking nature of modern art.
